Defeat the Streets Delaware Attends Children’s Beach House First Black-Tie Gala
On Saturday, February 8th, twenty Defeat the Streets Delaware team members had the privilege
of attending the Children’s Beach House (CBH) first-ever Black-Tie Gala, held at the Lighthouse
Cove Center in Dewey Beach, Delaware. This momentous evening brought together community
leaders, advocates, and supporters to celebrate and raise funds for CBH’s invaluable mission: to
improve the lives of children, youth, families, and communities by helping them identify,
understand, and utilize their own strengths, talents, and resources.
The Gala was an elegant affair, featuring an inspiring program that highlighted the
transformative impact of CBH’s work.
Margaret H. Rollins Child Development Center provides a language-rich environment for
children with speech and language delays, integrating them with their typically
developing peers to ensure all students acquire the necessary skills for success in
kindergarten and beyond.
*Youth Development Program fosters safe, supportive spaces where young people can
cultivate meaningful relationships, access vital resources, and develop the confidence to
embrace their talents and potential.
*Social enterprise Greater Good Events provides opportunities for CBH to engage with
families and communities who are celebrating important events while providing much-
needed financial support for our programs for children.
As an organization dedicated to empowering communities through everyday philanthropy and
leadership, Defeat the Streets Delaware was honored to stand alongside CBH in support of their
efforts. Events like this showcase the power of collaboration in creating lasting change, and we
are proud to support with organizations that share our commitment to uplifting youth and
families.
We extend our gratitude to the Children’s Beach House for hosting such an incredible evening
and for their unwavering dedication to building brighter futures for Delaware’s children and
families.
